University of Georgia NYC Chapter Speakeasy Night

Join your fellow NYC Dawgs for an elegant evening on Fifth Avenue at the Museum of the City of New York for a Speakeasy Night, Wednesday, August 11th from 6:00 PM - 9:00 PM. Your ticket includes one beverage and admission to many of the exhibits such as: John V. Lindsay - America's Mayor and The Samurai in New York: The First Japanese Delegation 1860. The NYC Dawgs have been offered a discounted rate of $10.00 instead of the regular admission of $15.00. In order to receive the group rate please call (917) 492-3395 in advance and identify yourself as part of the "NYC Dawgs" group to receive the special $10 rate. Friends or significant others can also be a part of our group and receive the discount by paying in advance. Otherwise, you can just walk-up and pay the regular $15.00 admission. It's a fabulous evening with drinks and music of the era and an opportunity to meet and mingle with your fellow New York City Dawgs.

NYC Southeastern Conference 12th Annual Kickoff Classic with guest speaker Brad Edwards

Brad's year round job is the research coordinator for ESPN College Football and analyst for College Game Day on ESPN Radio. Brad is entering his 15th year with ESPN and is a 1994 graduate of the University of Alabama with a degree in broadcast journalism. NYC Southeastern Conference Co-Ed Touch Football League
Regular season games start Sunday, September 12, 2010
The SEC Alumni participates in Zogsports Co-Ed Touch Football league every season. The cost for the season is $85 and games are played on Sundays (since Saturdays in the fall are sacred). The league uses fields throughout Manhattan and the season begins the Sunday, September 12th and runs through playoffs in November.

The New York Knicks Alumni Association Basketball Tournament The New York Knicks are in the process of developing the "Knicks College Alumni Association Basketball Tournament." The New York Knicks would like to establish and build new relationships with the NYC alumni associations as well as provide a unique and entertaining networking opportunity for your association in conjunction with other alumni associations in the area. The opening rounds of this basketball tournament will be played at the Sports Center at Chelsea Piers and the semi-final and the final rounds will be played on the Garden floor at the "World's Most Famous Arena", Madison Square Garden. The tournament will be a sixteen (16) team event with each team consisting of 8-10 players that are graduates of your school. We will fill the team spots on a first come, first serve basis. When: October 16 & 17, 2010. Where: Chelsea Piers Recreation Center and Madison Square Garden. Price: $100.00 per player (includes uniform and tickets to a 2010-2011 Knicks game).
